Our Verdict

One of the purest reflex games in the browser. If Slope feels too directional and you want a different axis of challenge, Tunnel Rush tests peripheral vision and rotation instinct in a way nothing else quite does.

What We Like

  • Obstacle speed scales continuously, so there is always a harder challenge ahead
  • Neon visual design makes obstacles readable even at high speed
  • Timed survival mode gives a structured target beyond endless distance
  • Works smoothly on mobile with swipe or tilt controls

Watch Out For

  • Only two effective inputs — the control set is too narrow for prolonged engagement
  • No progression system; every run starts from the same base speed

How to Play Tunnel Rush

  1. 11. The tunnel moves toward you automatically — you cannot control speed.
  2. 22. Press A or Left to rotate the tunnel left; D or Right to rotate it right.
  3. 33. Position yourself in the gap between approaching obstacles.
  4. 44. Look ahead, not at your current position — obstacles several frames forward give you more reaction time.
  5. 55. When the tunnel itself begins rotating, counter-rotate to maintain your orientation.
  6. 66. Survive as long as possible; your distance score is displayed on-screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Tunnel Rush get harder over time or does it loop?

It gets harder continuously. Obstacle frequency and the tunnel's own rotation speed increase the longer you survive. There is no looping or reset — difficulty only climbs.

What is a good score in Tunnel Rush?

Surviving past the first speed increase (roughly 30 seconds in) puts you in the top half of casual players. Experienced players target the third and fourth speed thresholds, which typically appear around 90 seconds and 3 minutes into a run.

Is Tunnel Rush the same as Slope?

No. Both are minimalist reflex games, but Slope has you steering a ball in 3D with full left-right freedom, while Tunnel Rush is first-person and you rotate the environment rather than moving a character through it.
