11. Move your mouse to steer the snake — it follows your cursor direction continuously.
22. Eat the glowing orbs littered across the map to grow longer and add to your score.
33. Hold left-click or spacebar to boost speed — this burns length but lets you cut off rivals.
44. Force other snakes to collide with your body by curving sharply in front of them.

How do you kill bigger snakes in Slither.io?▾

Cut in front of their head so they collide with your body. Boost to position yourself ahead of them, then curve sharply across their path. Size doesn't matter — they die on contact with any part of your body.

Does Slither.io have an end goal or a max size?▾

There is no official win condition. The leaderboard shows the top 10 snakes by length in real time. Snakes can grow almost indefinitely; the current server record sits well above 100,000 mass. The game ends when your snake dies.

Why does my snake die even though I didn't hit anything?▾

The most common cause is server lag — your client showed you in a safe position while the server registered a collision a fraction of a second earlier. Playing on a server geographically close to you reduces this significantly.
