How to Play Texas Hold'em

1The dealer button rotates each hand. The two players to the dealer's left post the small blind and big blind — forced bets that seed the pot.
2Each player receives two hole cards face-down. The first betting round (pre-flop) begins with the player left of the big blind.
3On your turn, choose: fold (surrender your hand), call (match the current bet), raise (increase the bet), or check (pass when no bet is owed).
4Three community cards are dealt face-up (the flop). A second betting round follows, starting left of the dealer.
5A fourth card (the turn) is revealed and another betting round occurs. Then a fifth card (the river) is revealed for the final betting round.
6If multiple players remain after the final bet, a showdown occurs — best five-card hand from any combination of hole cards and community cards wins the pot. Standard rankings from highest: Royal Flush, Straight Flush, Four of a Kind, Full House, Flush, Straight, Three of a Kind, Two Pair, Pair, High Card.
