Personal Thoughts

Another fantastic game by FASCO, this game clearly beats it predecessors in all aspects. The visuals are great because everything just looks so smooth. FASCO decided to give us a bit of theme music at the beginning of the game, something new because it wasn’t in the least bit creepy. However, hate it or love it, the creepy Psycho-reminiscent item discovery sound effect from the Crimson Room has followed all the way to the White Chamber. Apart from the fact that you’re stuck in a room alone with seemingly no comprehensible means of escaping there’s actually nothing particularly scary about the game and that’s why I love the item discovery sound effect. It always gives me the impression that every item has something creepy and malicious behind it. Creepiness aside, the game challenges us with some great puzzles worthy of its reputation. For all those who love the room-escape genre this is a definite must play.
