World of Warcraft has hit 12 million subscribed players at one point from all over the world.

World of Warcraft has become such a huge sensation in modern culture that now anyone from Generation X, Y or Z has heard of or played World of Warcraft. An MMORPG made by the really successful and popular games development company ‘Blizzard’, World of Warcraft inspired it’s content and game mechanisms similar to the first popular MMORPG ‘Ever Quest’.

After Blizzard’s successful release of this title, many other game developing companies tried to catch the tidal wave of the new most successful platform of gaming. Unfortunately for those companies World of Warcraft or also known as WoW has never been challenged and continues to hold the throne for online gaming. With now a total of three expansion releases to date, (Cataclysm being the most recent) Blizzard has still managed to keep “WoW” the MMO giant from 2004 - 2011.

The game is entirely based off their warcraft universe in the older games. A fantasy MMORPG with Orcs, Trolls, Undead, Blood Elves, Goblins, Tauren, Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Gnomes, Draenei, and Worgens as the playable races. And the Classes you can play are; Warrior, Priest, Paladin, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Mage, Death Knight, Hunter and Druid.
