INTRODUCTION

TERMS USED

Inventory – The sidebar on the right containing all the items obtained.

Use – Using an item requires you to click the desired item in the inventory and then clicking on the item you wish to use it with.

Examine – Click on about item at the bottom of the side bar to examine an item.

Grab – In order to grab an item, click on it.

STEPS

1. Click on the second drawer of the desk. Grab the strange fruit.

2. Examine the fruit and eat it to obtain a seed.

3. Go left twice to see a sofa. Click under the sofa and grab the briefcase.

4. Click on the plant and grab the battery inside.

5. Click on the ash tray and grab the drawer key.

6. Click to the left of the sofa and grab the remote control. Click under the tray and grab the coffee mug.

7. Go left once to the bookshelf. Click the top right shelf and grab the pliers.

8. Go left twice to return to the computer. Use drawer the key on the top drawer and obtain the document file.

9. Open the bottom drawer and use the pliers on the box twice to obtain the flower pot. Click on the box again and grab the piece of wire.

10. Examine the piece of wire and use the pliers to obtain twisted wire.

11. Examine the flower pot and use the seed on the pot to plant it.

12. Go right twice to the bookshelf. Use the coffee mug on the aquarium to fill it up.

13. Examine the flower pot and use the coffee mug to water the seed.

14. Use the twisted wire on the small grey box to obtain the screwdriver.

15. Go left once to the clock. Use the screwdriver on it. Put it down and grab the battery charger.

16. Grab the battery from the clock.

17. Examine the battery charger and use the 2 batteries on it.

18. Go left once to the computer and click under. Use the battery charger on the socket and wait till it’s charged.

19. While waiting, click on the computer and boot it with the button on the side. A set of 12 squares will appear, these squares are identical to a clock’s number positioning. Make the 6 and 11 white and make the 2 red. This will log you in. Click on FILE 2 to decrypt files. Use the file on the webcam.

20. Collect the battery charger. Take the batteries out, examine the remote control and use the 2 batteries on it. Turn the remote on and set the temperature to 30.

21. Refill the water mug at the aquarium while waiting. When a plant sprouts in the pot, water the plant again. Examine the remote and change the temperature to 18.

22. Click on the fruit to obtain the key inside the fruit.

23. Go left thrice to the door. Turn off the lights and examine the file. The note is important for what wire you will cut later. If your note says “cross the cobalt ocean” it refers to the blue wire. If it says “cut the crimson rose” it refers to the red wire.

24. Examine the briefcase and use the key inside the fruit on it. Before opening the briefcase, click on your screwdriver.

25. These next steps must be done with extreme caution or you will die and restart the whole game. Wait for the green light at all times before proceeding with the following. With your screwdriver, click on the top left screw. Wait for the green light. Click on the top left screw again followed by the bottom right, top right and bottom left. Always waiting for the green light to proceed. When all the screws disappear, click on the box to open it.

26. Wait for the green light and click the green wire’s switch to turn the wire lights green.

27. Wait for the red light this time. Use the pliers on the orange and yellow wire, while in the red light.

28. Wait for the red light and cut the wire indicated in your clue e.g. crimson = red wire and cobalt = blue wire.

29. Grab the key and use the door key on the door to escape.
You win the game.

Personal Thoughts

Every aspect of this game is good. From the sound, visuals, challenges and user interface everything works well. What doesn’t work well is the bomb at the end of the game. For those of you who have or have not read through the walkthrough this is more of a warning than a spoiler. The bomb puzzle at the end of this game is by far one of the most frustrating and difficult puzzles in the room escape genre. Fair enough that you fail instantly if you get any of it wrong because let’s not forget, we are defusing a bomb here. But here’s the catch, when you die you don’t respawn at a checkpoint. That’s right game over, you start all over again . This is a great game for the first 90% of the game. After that I’ll leave it to you folks to decide.
