WALKTHROUGH:

To begin the game, click on all the valves until it sends you to a room.

Intro:

1. There is a notepad with a pen on the floor. Take it. Only the most important things will be recorded on this notepad.

2. Now go to your left and click on each lever on the hatch sides. Then click the middle lever to open the hatch.

3. Go down the hatch then go left. Click the middle power button on the PC below the table to switch on the screen.

4. Click each individual picture on the screen to have the vital info written down on your notepad. (When viewing each picture, leave by clicking the bottom and then the information will be written down in your notepad)

5. Now go right TWICE and open the portal door. Go right and open the hatch the same way you did before and go all the way down. Then go to your right.

6. On the portal press the codes in by clicking the (0 0 0) on the portal device. The code to put in is 552. Once the code has been entered press the large grey button.

7. Now in a new area, click the left corner of the platform the teleporting device is lying on. Clicking this will take you to an old climb way to go down. Click the bottom step down.

8. Once at the bottom, go to your right and take the first secret (1/5)

9. Now go back up to the teleporting device and go right three times. Then go into the cave entrance.

10. Go right once and pick up the Lead Casting on the floor on the brick side near the middle of both sections. It looks like a big “secret”.

11. Once you have the Lead Casting go to your right. You will enter a room with many wires and electronics. Open the power panel by clicking the metal power panel to the right.

12. Now see the black wire leading to a switch? That is a plug that must be used to power the lights going deeper into the cave system. To remove the plug, click both of the metal “V” looking locks on either side of the plug.

13. Once unlocking the plug, click the plug and it will drop out. Once it does drag it to the power panel to plug it in.

14. Now go right, down, right THREE times, up and left TWICE. You should see the observation room. Enter the room and click on wrench under chair. Once you have the wrench, exit room.

15. Next, go right TWICE, down, then left and right once again to reach the rusted metal panel. Use the wrench you collected on the four bolts. This will remove the cover and reveal a rusted key. Take it.

16. Now go left, up, right, up and left once again to the first room. Enter the room and you should see three panels, one of which is locked. Use the rusted key you got on the panel to unlock it. It will reveal your first Cipher plate. Take it and leave the room.

17. Next, go right, down, then left TWICE. You should see a panel with a button. This is the transfer switch. Using your Cipher plates correctly will transfer to various other sections in accordance to your co-ordinates. As you have Cipher one, that would mean if you were to slot it on the right of the console it would equate to (0 , 1) as the Co-ordinate. Insert cipher plate 1 into right slot which is located at the top of panel and click button. You will then be sent to (0 , 1).

Get Cipher plate 2.

18. When you have arrived at Co-ordinate (0 , 1) go down FOUR times, then go to your left. Behind the poles on the left there is a lone metal board lying against the wall. Click it to reveal a rusted metal panel with bolts. Use the wrench to open it and take your second secret (2/5).

19. Now go to your right and up THREE times. Then go to your left. Take the second Cipher from the chair. And go back right and up to the transfer switch.

20. Remove Cipher 1 from the slot on the right and place it into the left slot. Then place the second Cipher you got into the right slot. Once you have them placed you should have them in a Co-ordinate of (1 , 2). Press the button once placed correctly.

21. Next, click on the doorway and go to your right. Then go through another two more doorways. You should see a small pillar like object in the middle of the room with holes on each seperate side of the room. Look at every hole. You should see that the pointers are not facing the ornament. The objective is to make all of the pointers to point at that ornament.

22. Leave the room, go right and through the doorway to get to your first valve. The first valve controls the pointer in the hole to the right. So move it until it points towards the ornament.

Valve Sequences:
1st Valve: Turn TWICE
2nd Valve: Turn TWICE
3rd Valve: Turn THREE times.


23. Once done, go right and through another doorway. This is your second valve. The second valve controls the pointer in the hole at the middle. Once you have it in place correctly, move on to the final valve. Same procedure as the other valves, go right and through another doorway. This one controls the pointer to the left.

24. Once all valves have been turned, in the room with the third valve, go right. You will see a dim light on the top left hand corner. Take it and go through the corridor. You should see yourself back infront of the room with the small pillar and the ornaments. If the valves were turned correctly, there should be a metal box being revealed from the small pillar that is now half floating in the air. Take the metal box.

25. Now exit the room and go to your left THREE times to get back to the transfer switch. Remove both of the Ciphers and place only Cipher 2 in the left spot. This would make the co-ordinate desination (2 , 0)

26. The room you should see now is one with the chair and a hatch right below it. Open the hatch and go down. Press the top button to increase the pressure. Now go up out of that pipe.

27. Next go left and go down that shaft. It is already set on high pressure so there is no need to change that. However there is an empty coil on the floor to the right. Take it then leave this pipe by going up

28. Now go to your left and enter the third shaft. Press the top button to increase the pressure. Once that has been done get out of the shaft and go all the way right to the transfer switch.

29. Remove Cipher 2 from the slot on the left and place Cipher 1 on the right slot to go to Co-ordinate (0 , 1)

Charge the Coil.

30. Go down FOUR times, and then go right. You will see an old stylized charger for the coil. Place the coil on the charger at the slot right above the three rusted circles.

31. Once you have placed it, click the circular nob on the wheel at the bottom left side of the wheel. Turn the wheel three times to fully charge the coil.

32. Once the coil is charged, take it and go left and up FOUR times to get back to the transfer switch.

33. Take out Cipher 1 from the right slot and place it on the left slot. This should take you to co-ordinate (1 , 0)

34. Go down the ladder and go right once. You should see an electrical socket. Use the charged coil on that. There should be an effect of charging up. Once that is done leave the coil there and go back to the transfer switch. (Left, Up)

35. Remove Cipher 1 and place Cipher 2 in the right slot. Press the button and go to Co-Ordinate (0 , 2)

36. Go down the ladder and go to your left FOUR times. As you pass the symbols, the symbols would be recorded on your notepad.

37. You should be in the room with a Pipe and a Valve. At the bottom left of this large pipe there is your third secret (3/5). To see it you must click the bottom left of the pipe but above the rim of the pipe on the floor.

38. Once you have gotten the secret, turn the valve and you should hear the sound of a pipe bursting. Go right FOUR times and up once to return to the transfer switch. Remove Cipher 2 from the right slot and place Cipher 1 in the left slot to go to Co-ordinate (1 , 0)

Get the coil back.

39. Go down and right once to get the coil back. Once you have it, return to the transfer switch and remove Cipher 1 from the left slot and press the button. This will take you to Co-Ordinate (0 , 0). The Root.

40. Go to your right TWICE and place the coil into the power socket. Once done, go back to the transfer switch.

41. Place Cipher 2 in the left slot to take you to Co-ordinate (2 , 0)

42. Go to your left TWICE. Press the grey panel button on the top left to reveal the fourth secret (4/5). Take it and go to the left TWICE. (Yes through the broken wall)

43. Click the Wisdom Gem 2 that is in between the “C” of the metal stand on the left.

44. Next, go left and up the stairs to get your fifth secret (5/5) which is located on the chair by the right arm rest. (The right arm rest being from your view on the left) Once you have that return to the transfer switch by going down and right, then through the broken wall, and right THREE times.

45. Place Cipher 1 in the right slot. Press the button to get to Co-ordinate (2 , 1)

46. Go right, up and right once more. You should see an electronic panel with lights. Press the grey button below to switch the position of the light to the right. Then go left TWICE and do the same to that electronic panel. You should hear a sound of rusted bars lifting and dropping.

47. Go right and down, the metal bars should be seen on the left now. Go right TWICE and down once. Place the Light bulb in the empty light socket next to the ladder.

48. Go into the small entrance on the left and keep going left until you are in the room with the symbols on the wall. Match the symbols as shown on your notebook as Left, Centre and Right. So for the left symbol, look on the left column horizontally to find the according symbol and click it. Do the same for both centre and right columns. Once you have matched them click the screw head looking button at the bottom of the symbols by the cracks in the wall.

49. This will slide the floor and lower the ladder. Go down the ladder to meet the statue of a jackal (Anubis) once again from Submachine Zero and Submachine The Lab.

50. Place the Lead casting from your inventory in the top slot under the Jackal. This will lift one of the stones, click the Lead Casting on the stone to take it back and do the same for the other two slots. Once all three of the stones are lifted, a secret passage should be revealed.

51. Go down the secret passage and pick up the Wisdom Gem 3 that is lying on the floor on the right corner of the room. Now get back out of this ancient ruin. Do this by going up TWICE, right through the small passage TWICE.

52. Now go up, left TWICE and Up once again. Go to both switches on the right and left to click buttons to change both lights and move the metal rusted bars back to the right. Once you have done that, go down and go left to get back to the transfer switch.

53. Remove both of the Ciphers and place Cipher 1 in the left slot to go to Co-ordinate (1 , 0).

Get Wisdom Gem 1.

54. Go down and go Right TWICE. You should be in a room with what looks to be a bathtub filled with liquid. Click on the small copper plate that is located on the top right tile of the bath tub. It will reveal a scientific formula for citric acid mixed with water. Click the top of the bathtub to zoom in on it.

55. Drop the Metal Box from your inventory into the liquid. The liquid will dissolve the metal box and reveal Wisdom Gem 1. Zoom out of the bath tub and you should see a small release valve for the tub. Use the wrench on it to release the liquid.

56. Zoom back into the tub to take the Wisdom Gem 1. Now go back to the transfer switch. Do that by going left TWICE then up. Remove Cipher 1 and press the button to send you to co-ordinates (0 , 0)

Go to the Portal

57. Go left, then up and then left once again. Now go left all until you are out of the cave. Then go left again all the way to the portal. Enter the code (7 4 7) and press the button.

The Corridor (7 4 7)

58. Go right TWICE and you will come to door. Press the button to open the door and go right once again.

59. At the top there is a circle with shapes that look like are perfect to slot the wisdom gems. Slot the Wisdom gems in. Once they have been slotted in you “may” look into the telescope looking eye hole. (Not necessary)

60. When you are ready, push the ignition lever that is located on the control panel on your right. Congratulations for completing the game!

Remark:
Another one of the submachine series, although shorter than some of them it is not any simpler. Instead of the usual one room escape kind of game. As always this game is proven to be more of a labyrinth escape. A game that really gets the mind working and thinking. A great episode in the story of the submachine series. With all the connections between the previous ones, it really gets you thinking about what is really happening.
