Hi yak602,

The current www.runescape.com is actually the RS2 (with 3D World) coz it had already been upgraded and the previous RS1, a 2D sprite game has now changed to RSC (RuneScape Classic).

Do take notice on the left-bottom sidebar at http://www.runescape.com, you can see the "RuneScape Classic" link as shown below and you'll be greeted with the Important notes about RuneScape Classic.

So, go create a new account to play RS2 buddy !! You can still play the RS Classic here http://www.runescape.com/playclassic.ws with existing account.

I hope this explains it all.
