Elm Street help please!

Ok, so I have unlocked the lock box and got a key. I'm now in the basement trying to figure out the ropes thing but am stumped! What are tyhey supposed to do, what order do I do them?? I read the sign on the wall about 'opposite room' and 'right, left, middle' but I can't work it out. (Just like I can't work out how 3x4, 7-6 and 8+7 equaled 15, 12 and 15).

PLEASE HELP! lol

im stuck there too but if you pull the rope in that room, and the rigt rope in the opposite room, red sqares can be lit up on the wall in the other room. kinda confusing but im stuck

well... first of all the sign says sth like
left
opposite room right
blah blah blah
right?
well... just do as the sign says... if it says pull left u pull the left rope... if it says opposite room... go to the opposite room... and pull which ever rope u need to pull... and again the sign says opposite room... go to the opposite room... and some red circles will appear... press the one that the sign says (left, middle, right)
the number thing is because if u had paid attention... under each of the squares u had to input the numbers... there was a simbol (either X - +) each simbol means the result of each one of the 3x4, 7-6 and 8+7... well dunno if u got it... :P hehe
