Default The death of PS2?

Is anyone else thinking that with the release of PSP, developers will eventually forget about our humble ps2 games altogether? I'm a little worried that soon we might have to play these stupid little handheld consoles if we ever want to get to play the new additions to our old favourites...

Although I already am not an avid "PS2er" I am quickly going off the entire console market as a whole. It seems to have just become a battle between the major corporations at who can produce the most consoles and sell them before the other...

I can definitely see a situation in the future when I want to get a game and it wont be available on my good old PS2 sitting in my bedroom, and I wont have gone out and bought a PSP...so i'll either have to go without, or buy both the game AND the PSP...then never use either again. Is anyone else tired of this happening to them?

Ps2 Is WAY to popular for developers to just "stop" making games for it.
