1. Determine what facet of the vehicle the battery is on. Disconnect the destructive battery terminal. If in case you have a radio with a security characteristic (similar to a Delco-Loc, Eclipse ESN, etc.) ensure you know the reactivation or security code before disconnecting the destructive battery terminal. 2. Discover a spot to run the facility wire by way of the firewall. Try to discover an empty rubber grommet that hides an unused factory hole. You may just put a hole in this grommet and run your wire through. 3. Automotive Audio Stepped Bit or Uni-BitIf there isn't any manufacturing facility hole you will have to make one. Get out the ability drill and metal drill bits. Before drilling be sure to know where the bit will end up once it is by way of the firewall. I usually make a small pilot gap and then enhance the bit measurement till the outlet is sufficiently big for my wire. When you've got a stepped bit (i.e. Uni-Bit) that might be great to make use of (see photograph). I like to recommend them highly. |
