there is a key in the cup that opens one of the drawers or lock boxes and then another key behind the clock that opens another lock box with another set of key and inside that lock box is a hammer use it to break the red safe and there will be a fourth set of keys and then your out.

It isnt really a red safe it is the drawers in the corner which you found the note about looking behind the clock in.
