My braces are slowly killing me

Read this before you post.

I got braces yesterday and just realized it's not what I thought it was. I'm about to tear the things off, I'm sick of them. I took Motrin but it takes 2 hours for it to take affect. And please, waking up is annoying, when I get up my teeth kill me. I'm not complaining. Well, technically, I am, but I'm too lazy to deal with it so I'll complain.

I have to keep the damn things on for 2 years. Is this some joke?!

I need help with these things. How long did it take for you to get used to them? What did you use to stop the pain, etc. etc. etc..

Well, you have to deal with it. Do not take them off. Wear them for 2 years. It will be ok after that. I know it's easy for me to say that because I am not wearing those braces but I really hope that you would try to keep them on.

Aren't braces like super expensive? It was your choice to get them so stick with it. The end results will be worth it though.

i had braces before....took them off after 1 day! lol and of course my parents reprimand me for it

never had braces before. although i have friends who did. some even took 5 years to remove. all i know is that eventually you will get used to it. Just deal with it now. Eventually it will all be fine.

I totally get u, I went through this, hurts the first weeks but after that you can manage it. Keep it how long is necessary, I took it out more early and the results weren't nice. I still regret it.
