Rithum is the next generation in music news!

I guess it would be all proper and fancy for me to tell you a little bit about who and what we are. We are a team of seasoned veterans from the music industry partnered with un-showered veterans of the gaming industry. We have come together with one simple goal in mind: Promote artists and bands in new and USEFUL ways while providing one of a kind opportunities for fans to reach out to their favorite artists.

Rithum as a company is merely 3 months old. In this short time frame we have gone from dry erase boards to published products. Our team lives in a constant state of development. We have completed work for bands like Disturbed, Protest The Hero, Thrice, My Chemical Romance, A Cursive Memory, Dashboard Confessional, Jakob Dylan, People in Planes, School Boy Humor and many others. These early adopters have seen that we are not just another website but rather a living and breathing multi-faceted internet experience (yikes, that was wordy). A widget? No, we tend to dislike that word around here. What we have built spills over into territories beyond widget status. Nearly everything you find here on this site can be packaged up and published anywhere on the internet via our “Rithum Player”.

Fans and artists alike can take, embed, install, create and manage these Rithum Player’s and enjoy tight integration of the assets back here at home base on Rithum.com.

Did I mention Fan Points? Fan Points are acquired by keeping active on your favorite artists profiles. In return for doing this, you are listed directly on that artist’s profile and will be able to work your way towards merchandise, tickets, special titles on the site and forum, access to hidden content and a multitude of other goodies we have not even thought of yet.

The initial system deployed tonight allows for you to earn points by posting comments on an artist’s blog, comments section and photos. Points differ depending on section posted and will be limited to a certain amount within 24-48 hours. Spam will result in your points system being disabled.

As the week goes on, we will continue to add new methods and will let you collect these fan points while we work with the artists and labels to collect the goodies and or arrange special events / contests.
