Default How to Get an Avatar

The Game Chat's AVATAR GUIDE

How to get an avatar: An avatar (av) is like a buddy icon. It is a picture that shows up below your name when you post.

One way to get an avatar is to find a picture that you want as your avatar. Then save the image to your computer, by right clicking and hitting "Save Picture As" Once it is saved to your machine go into your user control panel. The "User CP" button is located up at the top left of your screen. Once you get in click on "Edit Avatar" on the left hand side. Or you can just click here and it will take you to your edit avatar page. There you will see a checkbox that says "use a custom avatar" check that box. Then the second option under the custom avatar spot you will see " Upload an Avatar From Your Computer". So you browse for the picture and then you hit the save changes button, and BADA BING you have an avatar.

Also, you can upload an avatar from a URL. If you want to upload it from a URL then you have to find a picture you want on the internet, right click the picture, go into properties, and copy and paste the URL into the first line in the custom avatar section thats says "Enter Avatar URL". Then you want to save changes and you have an avatar.

Also, if the file size is too big (it can be no more than 80 x 80 pixels) you need to go into Photoshop/Paint/Paint Shop Pro and save it as a .jpg and then lower the quality of the picture. Also, in the rules it states

Please obey those size restrictions for avatars. Enjoy!

EDIT: Sticky please?
Thank you Paddy or Administrator for making this a sticky, I really appreciate it.

Not announcement, it's not important enough.
STicky WOULD work.
Anyway, it's Photobucket. Or you can use imageshack.com, or imageshack.us

For those who don't no pixels, I'll tell them. Pixels are a unit of measurement of windows or pictures on a computer. I'll take you on a virtual tour. Go to your desktop and right click Propoties. Then go to Settings, you see the bar?
That's for the pizxels the computer shows

That's what paddy said and you don't need image shack. Right hand click on a picture you see, then click ''save picture as . . .'' then go to edit avatar
and upload the pic from the computer and BADA BING! You have an avatar.

Hi Guys,

Which avatar's picture format do you think is the best (gif, jpg, bmp)? Talking about gif, can this forum support avatar with animated gif?
