i finally figured out how to get into the room on the left in the basement.
once you get in the basement look at the pipe running along the ceiling.
click on the brown rope holdong it up, you will need your knife to cut it down.
it will then fall and water will come out and put out the fire in the furnace.
when the fire is out look inside and flip the switch to open the door so you can get into the room.
i didnt see anyone else answering this question so i thought i could help

There is a pipe in the upper left of the screen. If you shoot it, it wobbles. Shoot it when freddy is underneath and it will fall on him. -From here you can choose to shoot him or use the holy water. You will only be able to use the holy water if you found it earlier. See "Secret Area" below. Using the holy water gets the good ending, shooting him gets the bad ending.

I wish I can remember the people who typed some of these walk throughs.
