PS3 vs XBOX360; well, xbox360 is compared to a regular PC. As well ps3, does have blue rays and which xbox360 doesn't. So, it's better recommended to get a ps3 with pc.

XBOX 360 is great. It has hard drive, which is clearly superior to any kind of external memory card of any type, considering you can get up to 120GB of memery in the XBOX elite. It also have gamer profiles, which stops any confusion, as individual game saves can be saved to different profiles, stopping any arguments of "who overwrite my game save on this memory card.
