Assasin's Creed was meehhh , ok, I really liked Bioshock too, It really got me on that part when you pass some dead bodies lights go off come back on and you are surrounded by splicers, pretty scary.
and for strategy games, try the kingdom under fire series, there is not a lot of freedom on that game when it comes to leveling but the game it self is all about strategy, timing and hack and slash in some parts.
