I know that you may be new to the forums, but it doesn't mean that you can get away with what you want to do. First, don't make a thread in the wrong part of the forum, hi-jack, or post spam. Second, if you are here to be welcomed, DO NOT MAKE A THREAD IN THIS PART OF THE FORUM OR ANY OTHER PART EXCEPT THE
NEW MEMBERS FORUM. If you need help with the OGN games, I suggest you look at these part of the forums (
Room Escape Games,
Exclusive Escape-the-Room Games, or
Other Escape-the-Room Games). Also, DO NOT MAKE A DUPLICATE THREAD THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN MADE,by the way. This has been starting problems. Some of them haven't been answered. Instead of making a duplicate thread, use the
search button. That has been there for a reason. If you used it to look for a game we haven't heard of, it's ok to make it.
As I've seen some members say about you, ''Man, these people are idiots.'', ''I agree with you guys all the way'', ''I posted a walk through in the front page and he can't even find it.'' These are examples of what the old members of the OGN community will think.
NOTE: The examples above exist. I won't say any names, but that has happened.
A big thing to read is the
forum guide. I have a LOT of of you ignoring it and that's not a good thing. It'll be up to date today.
Now to explain Spam, making a thread in the wrong forum, and hi-jacking.
Spam: This is the worst. I like to call it forum abuse of posting. Spam is pointless messages that can kill topics. How can they kill topics? It's like this, a topic, is like a human being, like you. When a virus (Spam) enters the body, it starts killing you. If you don't have white blood cells to help (On-topic posters) then you will die. See how this works, but what if you always stay on-topic? Then the thread will keep living, but still, in the future, it will die. Spam can be anything like, ''drhjgbsb'', ''I love shoes'', or even typing in big. Only say what's topic related, capisce?
Making a thread in the wrong forum: This is simple. Like, make a newbie thread in the
General Chat instead the the
New Members Forum. If you make a thread in the wrong forum, chances are very good that it won't get a reply and die easily.
Hi-jacking: This is mostly on newbie threads. When someone is new, you welcome them, but if another newbie comes and says s/he is new to, the people starts welcoming that person instead of the maker of the thread. So please make your own.
That's all I can think of right now, I'll put more when I have ideas.
Sticky please?
